During the last days I didn’t get to sew anything at all. Or do anything, that is.
Seems my yearly flu got hold of me again.
This time it’s sneezing explosions combined with ‘heavy’ head and a headache the size from here to the other side of the globe. Also, the coughing started just two days ago.
I remember times, when I was much younger, that this flu was nothing more but a bad cold, maybe. I could shrug it off within two or three days; and it didn’t keep me from doing stuff.
… it became more severe during the last, say, five years or so. Last year it even became a full-grown, three months lasting pneumonia.
I now understand why older people often know not many subjects but their illnesses to talk about…
My flu usually comes once a year; most of the time somewhen between February and May. During the rest of the year I used to be perfectly healthy (that, too, changed three years ago; with the stroke three years ago and the tumor last year. Oh, and then there was something with my lung a few years ago).
Just reminds me that I’m getting old. *sigh*
Anyway, I NEED to get rid of this as soon as possible. I don’t like being sick; I don’t like headaches that keep my brain from working properly, and, last not least, I don’t like being able to walk with a speed that could be dubbed negative speed; just to avoid any tremors of my head, which, you might have guessed it, only results in MORE headache.
Also, I HATE mouth-breathing. Same for not being able to smell *anything*; and, of course, the constant waking up at night because I can’t breathe, or having to cough or sneeze.
In short terms, I HATE being sick. And yes, I’m whining because I’m frustrated because it’s 5:30 AM and I can’t sleep because I can’t breathe through my nose, and also, headache. Grrr.
Will report back when the flu has decided to leave me behind for the rest of the year.
